FireFox T-shirt Design Competition

FireFox is trying to promote FireFox 3, so they have decided to host a t-shirt design competition. I have listed the prizes below.
1st Place Winner:
Worldwide recognition for designing the official Firefox 3 T-Shirt featured in the Mozilla Store.
A free Firefox 3 T-Shirt to show off your winning design.
$250 gift voucher to Amazon.com.
4 runners up:
A free Firefox 3 T-Shirt with the winning design.
A $50 gift voucher to Amazon.com.

$250 amazon gift certificate and a tshirt? Thats not much of an incentive.
Mozilla Inc gets $50 million+ in Benjamins a year from Google and they still resort to spec work for T-shirts?
I’m all for open source and socially driven innovation(tm), but this just smacks of unfair labor practice.
As a product the T-shirt may get >1 million views a month. A mere 1% conversion rate could land a whopping $100,000 in revenue. How about stepping the compensation up to to something more appropriate like a couple of new MacBook Pros?
In all honesty, a corporate structure that still rides on the coattails of free (as in movement) labor is just plain goop.
Well.. you forgot about “Worldwide recognition for designing the official Firefox 3 T-Shirt featured in the Mozilla Store” that’s a big part of the price really
I wish the prize was something like.. “Get your OWN custom extension for ff!” hehe, now THAT would be a cool price.
Deadline is march 16th! so there’s plenty of time.
Wow! amazing site.
