I know, I know, it’s been over a week since my last post. The truth is this last week at work has been just great (sarcasm). I have been busy with 3 very large projects for my work that needed to be out by Friday. Don’t ya love deadlines especially false deadlines.

If there is one thing I love it is apple rumors; I think it will be even more fun creating my own. Hint: new apple product rendering.

Back to design. Like I said earlier it has been a while since my last post and I want to make it up to you. So I am planning on posting at least 3 new vectors this week, it might be late in the week but you will get them. This coming month I want it to be the biggest ever, but I am going to need your help. It has been tough lately trying to fit thepixlpusher into my schedule because of work (work comes first) so to make it a little bit easier I asking for your feed back and suggestions on what you want to learn and need from me. ::pixlp::

This tutorial is basically about an effect that I have wanted to do as designer for awhile. It seems every time I see an image that is either over exposed or double exposed it catches my eye. With that said I have been getting a lot of requests on how to make an image old looking, so I decided to add a little twist to it. You can use this photo for the tutorial, it is in the thepixlpusher flickr group.

Over at texturepacks.net they have some very interesting textures most of them you have to pay for, but there is a sample pack of seven hi-res textures for free. Check it out.

OK. So I promised that I would have this vector up at istockphoto. Well I had some issues and some doubts about whether this was the best way to get the file to you. They have it set up where you would have to buy credits to purchase the vector, and I know not everyone wants to do this just for one file. My next issue is, from what I could tell the designer doesn’t price the file. Which I am afraid they would price the file too high and I don’t want to be seen as greedy. The last issue I have is they have to approve the files so it might not be up right away and your left waiting. So have I decided that I would get it to you another way. Well here is another free vector. Are you guys and gals getting sick of free vector files? I didn’t think so. This one has elements of the one that I am putting up in Istockphoto.com so If you want to get the other version and help support the blog it will be over there sometime tomorrow hopefully.
