Recently, I was a butt of a prank and an oppurtunity came with it. My boss came busting into my office last week and threw a bag with a thousand (literally a thousand) ping pong sized balls into my office. Well after picking them all up out of every small corner in my office,(I am still finding balls) I decided that with this many balls I could take a really cool photo. So I decided to make a bottomless case then put it on top of the light table and dump the balls inside. I lit the table and starting taking photos. With the balls being somewhat translucent I got a nice little glow from behind. You can download the file after the jump. I have also placed another file in the folder that I played around with. Last night I was watching tv and a commercial came on about the highway construction in my city. I couldn’t believe it there it was. My vector made it’s way to the tv not to mention in my home town. The image is supposed to look like you are looking out you car window and the air freshner is blocking your view. Well anyways I still couldn’t believe it. It could be someone else’s tag so I paused the tv took a picture and went straight to the computer to see if everything lined up. yep it sure did. Also just an update and a thank you, this set of vectors was downloaded almost 20,000 times so far. Again thanks for downloading and reading. ::pixlp::

Started playing with some tutorials from abduzeedo and my new cosmic brushes and came up with a new wallpaper design. I am planning on doing a tutorial on this wallpaper it is just not finished yet. So if you want you can download my new wallpaper the size is 1680×1050px.

As I promised Here are your brushes from Nasa’s hubble. They are all pretty large brushes I was trying to get them as big as I could. So like it or not web 3.0 is coming faster than any body thought. what happened to web 2.0? Well it hasn’t gone anywhere it is still there but we are adding to it. So what is it? Web 3.0 is from my research (correct me if I am wrong) is basically the integration of small productive applications to the internet. in other words you will be getting all your applications from the web and using them on the web. Wikipedia has probably the best description of it.

So what does this mean for designers? A whole lot of new and exciting stuff to learn. I will give you one example that I came across the other day. Aviary web applications. They are a new company still beta testing their apps, but from what I can see this could change the whole design industry. They have almost 20 different graphic design and other media applications that all work seamlessly together. This could either be very bad or very good. Read the rest of this entry »

When I saw the images that nasa has on their site I was blown away. Then I found out that you can download the images also, at a very large resolution. Let’s just say I am a very happy man. I plan on using a few of them as brushes and others as just textures. I look forward to sharing a new brush set very soon. Check them out here.

Well I was late with the Valentine’s vector so I wanted to get you something early for St. Patty’s Day. I hope you like it.
